Why Cold Process
In cold-process (cold-pressed) soap making, oils and butters are saponified at low temperature, preserving the glycerine naturally formed in the bar along with the properties of heat-sensitive botanicals — cold-pressed oils, herbal extracts and essential oils. The result is a denser, longer-wearing bar with a rich, skin-conditioning lather that hot-boiled industrial soap cannot replicate.
